In 1985, having decided to take part in the Group B World Rally Championship with its BX 4TC, Citroën offered a sporty version of the BX in its range: it was simply the BX SPORT. Initially produced in a limited series, it was eventually continued until 1987.

Offered for sale is my 1985 Citroen BX Sport. In 1984 Citroen decided to test the water with a fast version of the BX originally introduced in 1982. They decided to build a small batch to test the waters with French public. This car was the BX Sport, they got a leading French tuning expert, Danielson to develop the engine.

With the BX, Citroën dared again something more original, but the car was not unanimously successful in aesthetic terms (but the line, designed by Bertone, remains very pleasant today). It was however a certainly more original best seller than the Renault 18 or the Peugeot 305.
